Always Electrical
Always Electrical is a locally owned and run, Electrical company. Established in 1984, Always Electrical has been well-known for decades, serving the community with experience and highly detailed work. With over 40 years in the electrical industry, our company has stood the test of time and has developed a reputation of quality workmanship, honesty and commitment to our valued clients.
Always Electrical was originally founded by Harry Hordyk, who grew the business with passion and purpose. In 2005, Ron de Vos purchased the business after 10 years of working within the company, starting his apprenticeship at Always Electrical in 1995. Ron has since grown the business, building on the relationships and reputation Harry had established. In 2017 Ron further took the leap and expanded the Always brand into Solar, establishing Always Solar as a separate corporation under the positive reputation of Always Electrical.
Today, Always Electrical has a large team of experienced electrical tradesmen and apprentices, alongside a thriving team of administrative staff. With a fleet of 13 vehicles on the road, we are here to help you find electrical solutions that meet your needs and gives you lasting results, an approach that is incorporated throughout our dedicated team.

Ron de Vos Owner & Director
Ron de Vos is Always Electrical’s leader, electrical expert, and valued mentor. With a focus on knowledge and experience, Ron has developed a clear understanding of the electrical industry and guides his team with confidence as they navigate the ever-changing technology of this evolving field. Beginning his apprenticeship at the end of 1995, Ron has been a longstanding member of the electrical sector. Having trained in residential, commercial, and industrial works, he possesses the knowledge and insight to lead his staff in finding the best solutions to suit your needs.
After spending 10 years honing his skills at Always Electrical, Ron transitioned from hands-on work to business management, taking over from his boss, Harry Hordyk. With big shoes to fill and a stellar reputation to uphold, Ron embraced the challenge and has continued to build the business into a thriving organisation.
Beyond his professional life, Ron is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending his spare time relaxing and adventuring with his family. An avid runner, he often finds solace and inspiration while exploring the scenic routes around Perth. You will also find him and his boys exploring the trails along the Darling Scarp on their mountain bikes or enjoying his backyard garden where he loves to barbeque for family and friends.
Quentin Van Dyk Project Manager
With a background that started on the tools, Quentin’s role has significantly evolved since he joined the team in 2011. As project manager, he now expertly handles tendering for our commercial design and construct projects. From collaborating with external consultants for completing electrical designs to managing our commercial projects, Quentin always ensures every detail aligns with our high standards.
While Quentin no longer works directly on-site, his leadership and expertise are evident in every project we undertake. He ensures that our team of skilled tradesmen is fully equipped to meet and exceed client expectations.
Outside of work, Quentin is dedicated to his family, enjoying quality time with his wife Christel, their three boys, and their daughter. He has a deep appreciation for the Western Australian landscape and values creating a warm, hospitable home where family and friends are always welcome. Quentin thrives on home projects, making his house a loving and inviting place for his loved ones.
Tayla Beauchamp Operations Manager
Tayla joined the Always Electrical team in 2021, initially applying for the receptionist position as she sought a career change. Her dedication and keen interest in the electrical industry quickly became evident, allowing her to gain experience not only in her initial role but also in the broader field.
In 2023, Tayla embarked on a new journey, taking maternity leave and welcoming a new member to her family. Upon her return, Tayla embraced a new challenge as she transitioned into the role of Operations Manager.
As Operations Manager, Tayla has taken on coordinating residential project works, handling tasks such as scheduling, preparing quotations, and tracking job costings and variations. Her versatility extends to Always Solar, where she manages enquiries and leads, prepares and submits applications, and oversees invoicing.
Outside of office hours, Tayla cherishes quality time with her family. Whether enjoying the great outdoors or planning their next holiday adventure.
Jason Hembra Site Supervisor
Jason joined the Always Electrical team in 2011, starting as an Electrical Apprentice and becoming an Electrical Tradesman in 2014. His commitment and passion for the electrical industry have been instrumental in his progression to his current role, where he now oversees our growing team of tradesmen and helps manage large commercial projects.
As Site Supervisor, Jason’s responsibilities include project planning, scheduling, resource management, and coordinating with clients and builders to ensure smooth and high-quality project execution.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his growing family, tackling home projects, or spending weekends camping and fishing. He’s also passionate about off-road racing and can often be found in his shed fixing his race car to getting back on his BMX.
Emily Korthuis Receptionist
Joining the Always Electrical team in 2023, Emily quickly became the friendly face and voice of our office. As the receptionist, she handles incoming phone calls and emails, assists clients with their inquiries and coordinates quotes, site visits and jobs. Beyond her administrative tasks, Emily is also the office barista, ensuring everyone has their favourite coffee to keep them energised. She also manages our workshop inventory, keeping the shelves stocked so we’re always prepared.
Outside of work, Emily loves camping with her family, spending time with her playful Border Collie, Tess and getting lost in a good book.

Our history
Harry Hordyk established the business we have come to know as Always Electrical.
Ron de Vas began his Electrical Apprenticeship with the small team at Always Electrical.
Always Electrical moved into our new Workshop at 9 Byron Road. By this stage we had expanded from 1 vehicle to a 4-vehicle fleet!
Always Electrical was awarded the Electrical Safety Award through NECA, the National Contractors Association of Australia.
Ron purchased Always Electrical from Harry, after spending over 10 years working for the business.
Ron has grown and expanded Always Electrical to a fleet of 7 Trade Teams and has developed the Solar division of the Always brand.
The fleet has expanded to 13 vehicles, with a greater focus on commercial projects, while still servicing our residential construction and maintenance clientele.
Our Accreditation
Always Electrical values the importance of clear and informed safety measures. In order to ensure the implementation of safety plans are adhered to, we are accredited members of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and part of the Health Safety Quality and Environment Management System (HSEQ). Our team of tradesmen and apprentices adhere the Australian standards for Occupational Health and Safety, Wiring Rules and other important regulations brought out by the Australian government. Our staff are continually informed and trained in these systems and updated on any changes that have occurred, as these standards and regulations are continually updated to ensure the newest safety measures are in place. As management, we are committed to ensuring that regular toolbox meetings are held to discuss and implement these strategies.
