Always Electrical

Always Electrical is a locally owned and run, Perth electrical company. Established in 1984, Always Electrical has been well-known for decades, serving the community with experience and highly detailed work. With over 30 years in the electrical industry, our company has stood the test of time and has developed a reputation of quality workmanship, honesty and commitment to our valued clients.

Always Electrical was originally founded by Harry Hordyk, who grew the business with passion and purpose. In 2005, Ron de Vos purchased the business after 10 years of working within the company, starting his apprenticeship at Always Electrical in 1994. Ron has since grown the business, building on the relationships and reputation Harry had established. In 2017 Ron further took the leap and expanded the Always brand into Solar, establishing Always Solar as a separate corporation under the positive reputation of Always Electrical.

Today, Always Electrical has a large team of experienced electrical tradesmen and apprentices, alongside a thriving team of administrative staff. With 7 trade teams on the road, we are able to service a large radius within Perth; from Mandurah and Serpentine, through Forrestdale and Canning Vale, to Fremantle, North Beach and Hillarys to name a few. We are here to help you find electrical solutions that meet your needs and gives you lasting results, an approach that is incorporated throughout our dedicated team.

Meet The Team

Ron de Vos

Owner & Director

Ron de Vos is Always Electrical’s leader, electrical expert and valued mentor. Focusing on knowledge and experience, Ron has developed a clear understand of the electrical industry and guides his team with confidence as they navigate the ever-changing technology of this evolving industry. Beginning his apprenticeship at the end of 1994, Ron has been a longstanding member within the electrical sector. Having trained in residential, commercial and industrial works, he has the knowledge and understanding to lead his staff to find the best solutions to suit your needs.

After spending 10 years developing his skills at Always Electrical, Ron left the tools and took the leap into business, taking over from his boss, Harry Hordyk. He had big shoes to fill with the reputation Always Electrical had acquired, however Ron has taken the challenge in stride and continues to build the business into a thriving organisation.

Ron is a family man and enjoys using his spare time to relax and adventure with his family. You will find him and his boys exploring the hills of Armadale with their new-found love of mountain biking, or in his backyard gardening or barbequing for his family and friends.

Quentin Van Dyk

Commercial Supervisor

Quentin Van Dyk is Always Electrical’s lead Supervisor, overseeing our growing team of tradesmen and managing our large commercial projects. Starting out on the tools, Quentin’s role has grown and developed over the years to see him now manage out biggest projects and liaise with our key clients to ensure their needs are being met. While working directly on your home or business is no longer part of his job description, he is here every step of the way to ensure that our team of tradesmen are ready to serve you to the best of their ability.

Quentin enjoys spending time with his family, showing his young sons the joys of our Western Australian landscape. He thrives off of home projects and making his house a warm and welcoming place to care for his family and entertain his friends.

About Us

Our Accreditation

Always Electrical values the importance of clear and informed safety measures. In order to ensure the implementation of safety plans are adhered to, we are accredited members of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and part of the Health Safety Quality and Environment Management System (HSEQ). Our team of tradesmen and apprentices adhere the Australian standards for Occupational Health and Safety, Wiring Rules and other important regulations brought out by the Australian government. Our staff are continually informed and trained in these systems and updated on any changes that have occurred, as these standards and regulations are continually updated to ensure the newest safety measures are in place. As management, we are committed to ensuring that regular toolbox meetings are held to discuss and implement these strategies.

As part of our tailored service, we have ensured that we can aid you with a large variety of your electrical needs. In order to do this, some of our highly experienced electricians have undertaken training to become SACS and CCS Accredited through Western Power. The Service Apparatus Connection Scheme and Contractor Connect Scheme allow our authorised tradesmen to connect new installations to Western Power’s electricity distribution network, allowing our residential and commercial building projects to be completed start to finish with our inhouse team of electricians.
